The first BMD co-design activities were facilitated at the Eurosite Annual Meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 9 to 11 September. Biodiversity conservation and restoration practitioners were invited to explore their biodiversity data, monitoring, and analysis needs through a series of interactive sessions, including a User Story Workshop, a Plug-and-Play Discussion Forum, and a BMD Showcasing & Feedback Booth.
These co-design activities enabled participants to share knowledge, experiences, and questions while contributing essential insights that will shape the design of BMD’s Single Access Point and visualisation tools.
The next co-design activities will be carried out in collaboration with Eurosite at the 6th Natura 2000 Monitoring Workshop in Umeå, Sweden, from 29 September to 2 October.
For those who could not attend the in-person co-design opportunities but would like to get involved, a questionnaire will be distributed in October, followed by an online co-design workshop in early November. More information on these activities will be shared in the coming weeks.
