BMD will host two workshops at the upcoming Eurosite events this autumn

Eurosite – the European Land Conservation Network – will host two key events this autumn. The Annual Conference 2025 will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 9 to 11 September under the slogan “Restoring Nature, Reviving Communities: A United Vision for European Biodiversity”.

From 29 September to 2 October, the 6th Natura 2000 Monitoring Workshop will be held in Umeå, Sweden. This workshop will focus on decision-making in nature conservation and include monitoring case studies on habitats, species, and the use of technology.

As part of these events, the BMD project will host a series of workshops, where participants will be invited to explore their practical data and analytical needs relating to natural site management. Activities will focus on developing and discussing participant questions regarding biodiversity data and how these might enable or enhance natural site management practices and decision-making. Contributions from these workshops will feed into the co-design of a Single Access Point (SAP) to high-throughput biodiversity monitoring, biodiversity data, and biodiversity analyses, which is being delivered by the BMD project.
