Nine project videos were published as part of the “BMD explained” series, introducing the project’s work packages, their aims, the challenges they address, and the innovative approaches planned to tackle them.

The series makes BMD’s work and future outcomes more accessible, showing how BMD aims to transform biodiversity monitoring across Europe. Viewers will learn how the project plans to integrate and harmonise diverse biodiversity data, develop visualisation tools and a Single Access Point for high-throughput biodiversity monitoring, data, and analyses, co-designed with stakeholders to meet real-world needs.

Through these interviews, the “BMD explained” series also highlights how the project plans to improve access to data, strengthen collaboration among biodiversity experts, and support evidence-based decision-making with standardised, interoperable, and visually intuitive systems.
