Check out BMD's latest newsletter!
Our third newsletter is now available and highlights recent project activities, a newly published video, collaborations, and updates from other relevant projects. The newsletter can be accessed in three different ways: you can view it on LinkedIn, you can read it on our website, or you can subscribe to receive the next newsletters directly in your mailbox.
The August edition focuses on upcoming events like the first BMD’s second High-throughput monitoring workshop that will take place on 5-6 November in Sevilla, Spain. Participants will gain practical training on biodiversity monitoring and analyses, such as how to work with camera traps with Artificial Intelligence (AI) species identification, acoustic recorders with Artificial Intelligence (AI) species identification, and how to publish your biodiversity data to the GBIF.
To provide readers with even more context about the project, the newsletter includes a recently released animated introductory video explaining the project objectives, such as the uptake of innovative technologies for biodiversity monitoring, including sound recording devices, camera traps and eDNA sampling methods, and the work on the Biodiversity Explorer that will support site managers and stakeholders in their work on biodiversity monitoring.
