Upcoming BMD co-design opportunities

BMD will host an online User Story Workshop on 3 November, 14:00–16:00 (CEST). Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss their practical data and analytic needs relating to natural site management. Activities will focus on developing and discussing questions about biodiversity data and how addressing these might enable or enhance natural site management practices and decision-making. Contributions to this workshop will support the development of BMD’s Single Access Point for high-throughput biodiversity monitoring, biodiversity data, and biodiversity analyses.

For those unable to attend but who would still like to contribute their ideas, experiences, and questions relating to biodiversity data, monitoring, and analyses, BMD will also launch an online survey on 22 October. Anyone working to deliver the EU Birds and Habitats Directives (as a natural site manager, nature conservation practitioner, or policymaker) can share their biodiversity data needs and priorities in this survey and create their own “User Story”. Stay tuned!

Further in-person and online co-design activities will be facilitated in 2026. Follow the project’s newsletter and social media channels, or join the BMD Stakeholder Network, to be notified when these activities are taking place.
